What’s the best stick layout to use in Halo 3?

I heard a pro player say that if you can learn to play Southpaw that’s best, but also it seems to make sense to put it on Legacy. I know that when messing with snipers and long range weapons, the key two things are using one stick for up and down and the other other for strafing left and right, so wouldn’t Legacy be the best? I play southpaw boxer inverted sensitivity 5. It give me the most control, like I can aim really well while crouching and jumping. Plus having the beat down being left trigger gets me prolly 2-3 extra melees a game. Legacy is called Legacy because of Goldeneye for N64, I’m convinced, and if you played alot of that, and sadly, nothing since, (so you wouldn’t get used to other controls) you should be killer at it. but personally, I feel thats it’s too big a change to make, even more so that the game has been out forever. People will just take advantage of you trying to learn a new control scheme. Side note, Southpaw is on just about every shooter out now, it’s a legit stick style. I’d say learn that if anything.

i was told bumper jumper was pretty great for better accuracy after jumpin but other buttons were reconstructed. personal im fine with default settings except i play inverted and switch from 4 and 5 sensitivity.
